In this paper, we present the design and experimental validation of the CableHunt 12-Bit Native ADC Four-Channel Synchronous Reflectometer. Built around a floating-ground DC-powered 12-bit digitizer (4,096 quantization levels, 1.25 GSa/s, 25 Mpts memory depth), a 50-$\Omega$ impedance-matched InGaAs PIN-TIA front-end (1100--1700 nm, 1.25 Gbps), and a custom SFP breakout fixture, our instrument simultaneously captures analog optical transients alongside digital I2C (SCL/SDA) and hardware RX\_LOS triggers. Experimental benchmarks demonstrate a 24.08 dB quantization noise reduction (16$\times$ vertical resolution enhancement), an Event Dead Zone (EDZ) below 0.8 m, an Attenuation Dead Zone (ADZ) below 2.5 m, and an 85\% reduction in optoelectronic front-end cost. \end{abstract} \begin{IEEEkeywords} 12-bit ADC, optical time-domain reflectometry (OTDR), InGaAs PIN-TIA, floating-ground instrumentation, event dead zone (EDZ). \end{IEEEkeywords} \section{Quantization Noise and Front-End Architecture} The ideal Signal-to-Quantization-Noise Ratio (SQNR) is governed by: \begin{equation} \text{SQNR}_{\text{dB}} = 6.02 N + 1.76 \end{equation} Upgrading from $N=8$ bits ($49.92\text{ dB}$) to $N=12$ native bits ($74.00\text{ dB}$) provides a $+24.08\text{ dB}$ dynamic range improvement and $16\times$ finer vertical step resolution ($\Delta V_{12} = 195.3\,\mu\text{V}$ at $100\text{ mV/div}$). \section{Conclusion} The 12-bit floating-ground reflectometer achieves $\text{EDZ} = 0.75\text{ m}$ ($<0.8\text{ m}$) and $\text{ADZ} < 2.5\text{ m}$ while reducing receiver hardware cost by 85\% compared to benchtop photodetectors. \end{document}
